your Summer Reading package at the Honey Brook Library, register, and start
reading! *Keep track of your reading
on the reading log & earn book bucks to redeem for prizes. Bring in a non expired canned food item each week for the Honey Brook Food Bank for 1
extra raffle ticket. Book Bucks can be
redeemed through September 2, 2017
Touch a Truck Event - 10 am-1 pm at the front lawn of the library.
Play K
Mondays July 10, 17, 24, 31, & Aug 7 at 10
am. For
ages 4 & 5. Join us with your 4
& 5 yrs olds to get ready for Kindergarten.
We will “Play K”. Circle time
followed by time for the parent to work one on one with your child developing
skills needs for Kindergarten.
Registration is required. Limited
to 10 children & must commit to the 5 week session.
Let’s Read Math/Let’s Read Science
Tuesdays June 20 – Aug 8 at 10:00 am. For kids entering grades 2-5. A math & science program designed to
intertwine a short story with games & interactive ways to use math &
science skills. A fine way for children
grades 2-5 to keep their skills fresh during the summer months. Registration
required. There will be no program on July
4 & 24.
Girls Night Out for Moms &
Daughters
Tuesdays June 20 & July 11 & Aug 8 at
6:00 - 6:45 pm. For ages 5 - teen. Join us for a beautiful summer mani/pedi look for
Moms & Daughters. We supply the nail
polish, stickers & ideas. Please
come with unpolished nails. Each child needs to be accompanied by one
adult. Registration is required.
Gaming Night - Electronic Retro Games
Tuesday June
27, July 18 & Aug 1 at 7:00 pm -9:00 pm. For ages 8-18. Bring along your
DS, IPads, or any hand held game system, or take a turn on our Xbox Kinect. We will even have some surprise retro
electronic gaming systems. Registration
is required.
Geek STEM Club – Come Geek with Us!
Tuesdays June
13, July 25, & Aug 15 at 6 pm. For tweens & teens. Join us on select Tuesday evening this summer
to discuss, debate, & sometimes
craft all things geek! Registration is
required.
Stories in the Shade with Miss
Jennifer
Wednesdays July 5
- August 9 at 10:00 am. For preschool age. Join Miss Jennifer for stories, songs, and
crafts outside when weather permits. This
program is outside. Please bring a
blanket for sitting in the grass. Designed
for preschoolers, but all ages are welcome!
Sewing with Ms Nancy
Wednesdays at
6:30 – 8 pm For ages 12 through adult. Join Ms Nancy in making a variety of sewing
projects this summer. This program is for adults and young adults ages 12 and
up. Registration is required.
Nature Thursdays
Thursdays July
6, 13, 20, 27, Aug 3 at 10:00 am. For kids entering 1st – 8th grade. Join
us at for a look at nature this summer. Joining us on July 27 is Matthew Johnson from the PA Game
Commission. On July 20 is Marty Howe
discussing the upcoming Solar Eclipse. On
July 6, 20 & Aug 3 is Phil Witman bringing his bugs, reptiles, and animals.
Registration is required. This program is outside. Please bring a blanket or chairs.
Build & Play
Thursdays
June 22, 29, July 6, 13, 20, 27, Aug at 2 pm– For all ages. Come join us to have fun building with our
wooden blocks, Lego blocks, Magnatiles, Lincoln Logs, and others items.
Adult Craft Class
Join us on
Thursday, June 29, July 13 & 27, & Aug 10 at 6 pm for an adult “make
and take” craft such as Wheat weaving, paper making, & jewelry making. This program has a small materials fee of $5. Limited to 12 people per class.
Fundamentals of Drawing
Thursdays
August 10 & 17 at 2:00 pm For ages 8
& up. .Join us for drawing lessons instructed by Beverly Karlsson. She will teach children the fundamentals
using a pencil & pen and ink to create still life drawings. Registration is required.
Barn Quilt Painting
Saturdays
June 10 & 24, July 8 & 22, Aug 12 & 26, September 9 & 23 at 10
am join us to paint Barn Quilt Squares that will be placed on the front of the
library building. For ages 14 through adult.
