What's Going on at the Honey Brook Community Library


Join the Honey Brook Community Library on Sunday, May 19 at 1:30 for a Spring Tea Fundraiser.  Tea and finger foods will be served.  Raffle baskets & other fun.  Wear your elegantly embellished hats.  There will be a prize for the best one.  Tickets can be purchased at the library desk for $15.  For all ages. Hosted by Freedom Village in West Brandywine.  All proceeds benefit the Honey Brook Community Library

The Shape of Our Elections: Why Redistricting Matters
Thursday, May 9th at 6 pm at the Honey Brook Community Library
Fair Districts PA speaker Tony Crocamo will explain PA’s current redistricting process and will discuss how he believes the current process undermines democracy and fairness. Tony will discuss the legislation in Harrisburg and FDPA’s suggested strategy moving forward.
Fair Districts PA is a nonpartisan, citizen-led, statewide coalition working to create a process for redistricting that is transparent, impartial, and fair.

Story Time with Miss Jennifer

Wednesdays 6:30-8 pm at the Honey Brook Library.   Ms Nancy will help you with basic sewing skills or chose a pattern or project from the Library’s many sewing books.  We have five sewing machines at the library or bring your own.  For more information call 610-273-3303 or email jspade@ccls.org.

Chatty Crafters

Writing Club
Do you like to write?  Need inspiration or to make time to write? 
Join us at the Honey Brook Library on the second Saturday each month from 3 -4 pm.  Come sit, chat, and brain storm with other writers.

Honey Brook Library Book Sale
Friends of the Honey Brook Community Library are holding their annual paperback book sale in the back parking lot of the Library on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 9 AM until 2 pm.  Fill a bag full of your choice of books for a small donation.  All donations are used to support Library programs, daily operations, and special events.

Mondays - "Magazine Mondays" check out 4 magazines and get a free DVD rental.

Tuesdays - All DVDs and TV Series are "Rent One Get One Free".

Wednesdays - "Sewing with Ms Nancy" from 6:30 to 8 pm.  Come use one of our older sewing machines. This program is run several times throughout the year.  Call 610-273-3303 to check if the program is currently running.  For ages 12 - adult.

Thursdays - "Knitting Around" 7 - 9 pm.  Knitting, crocheting, and various needle crafts.  Bring your own supplies.
